Description
Secure waterproofing, even when submerged
It forms a highly impermeable barrier, suitable for permanent immersion, and is also suitable for applications where water potability must be maintained.
Versatile and controlled application
Its thixotropy allows for comfortable working vertically and horizontally, and it can be applied with a trowel, brush, or roller, adapting to the type of work and desired finish.
Compatible base, ready for finishing
It allows surfaces to breathe, helps reduce carbonation, and can be left as a suitable base for painting or applying clear lacquer, as well as being compatible with other coatings.
WP11 is a single-component cementitious waterproofing mortar, formulated with hydraulic cements and modified with polymers.
Once applied, it forms a highly adhesive waterproof layer with thixotropic properties that can be used both vertically and horizontally, and with volumetric stability. It is suitable for permanent immersion, compatible with other coatings, and does not alter the potability of water.
Ready to use: just add water.
Suitable for permanent immersion.
Suitable for vertical and horizontal use (thixotropic).
It does not affect the potability of water.
High impermeability.
Excellent adhesion and volumetric stability.
Withstands positive and negative pressure.
Suitable for painting or lacquering.

Surface preparation:
All substrates must be stable and structurally sound. If necessary, mechanically clean the substrate by polishing or other means until a solid, firm substrate is obtained. Mechanically clean any substance that could interfere with the adhesion of the mortar (e.g., grease, oil, wax, dust, plaster, paint, etc.).
Test the porosity using a water droplet test. Sprinkle water on the surface; if the water forms droplets without being absorbed within 2 minutes, the surface is not porous and is probably contaminated. Such contaminants must be removed and the surface must be worn down using a mechanical method such as polishing or grinding.
If the surface is uneven, it is recommended to repair it beforehand with one of the T-CON mortars suitable for this use. It is recommended to moisten the substrate prior to applying the waterproofing to achieve better results.
If in doubt, consult the T-CON technical department. The temperature at the time of installation must be at least 5°C.
Preparation of the mixture and application instructions:
First add 80% of the water and then the powder while beginning to mix. It is recommended to do this in a well-ventilated area and to wear a dust mask. Use a mixer, low-speed drill, or trowel, maintaining a ratio of 5.5 to 6 liters of water (22% to 26%) for each 50 pound bag of WP11 Waterproofing.
It is recommended to apply at least two coats in all cases. Consult the T-CON technical department for more information.
