Description
Structural repair without slippage
It offers excellent workability, high mechanical strength, low shrinkage, and does not slide on vertical surfaces, allowing for precise repairs both indoors and outdoors. Available in gray or white.
High strength and durability
Develops high compressive and flexural strength, with excellent performance indoors and outdoors, even when subjected to freezing and thawing.
Fine finish ready for painting
It offers a very fine and neat finish, suitable for painting or clear lacquer, combining structural repair and aesthetic finishing in a single product.
R20 is a structural repair mortar formulated with hydraulic cements, designed to repair and finish concrete, stone, brick, and cement surfaces in thicknesses of 5 to 20 mm per layer.
Once applied, it forms a flexible waterproof layer that resists positive and negative hydrostatic pressures, with high adhesion and excellent impermeability. It is thixotropic, allows surfaces to breathe, is volumetrically stable, and is suitable for permanent immersion.

Surface preparation:
All substrates must be stable and structurally sound. If necessary, mechanically clean the substrate by polishing or other means until a solid, firm substrate is obtained.
Mechanically clean any substance that could interfere with the adhesion of the mortar (e.g., grease, oil, wax, dust, plaster, paint, etc.).
Test the porosity using a water droplet test. Sprinkle water on the surface; if the water forms droplets without being absorbed within 2 minutes, the surface is not porous and is probably contaminated. Such contaminants must be removed and the surface must be worn down using a mechanical method such as scarification or roughing.
Moisten the surface or prime it with the appropriate T-CON adhesion promoter for the surface to be coated. En caso de duda consultar departamento técnico T-CON. La temperatura al momento de la instalación debe ser de al menos 5°C.
Preparation of the mixture and application instructions:
First add the water and then the powder while beginning to mix. It is recommended to mix in a well-ventilated area and wear a dust mask. Use a mixer, heavy-duty ½” (12 mm, min. 650 rpm) drill, or trowel, maintaining a ratio of 3.25 to 4 L of water (13 to 16%) per 50 pound bag of R20 T-CON Repair Mortar. Add approximately 80% of the water before incorporating the product and the rest afterwards. Once prepared, it allows a working time of 60 minutes at 23°C.
Spoon the mixture onto the surface and spread it out. Then compact the mixture with a spoon and finally smooth it with a trowel.
Warning: Protect the surface from splashes during the first few hours after installation.
Curing: Keep the surface moist for 24 hours to prevent cracks from forming.
Frequently asked questions
What thicknesses can R20 be applied to?
Between 5 and 20 mm per coat; greater thicknesses can be achieved by applying successive coats.
Can it be applied to vertical surfaces?
Yes, it is formulated so that it does not slide on vertical or sloped surfaces.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, it can be used indoors or outdoors and is resistant to freezing and thawing.
Can it be painted or lacquered after application?
Yes, once dry, it can be painted or coated with clear lacquer.
When can traffic be enabled?
Pedestrian traffic within 24 hours and normal traffic within 7 days.
